The design objective for a residential remodel in Boca Raton, FL, was to create two contemporary bathrooms in tones of neutral gray and white. In the guest bath, porcelain wall and floor tile from Casalgrande Padana's Metalwood series was employed — complemented by accents of glass mosaic tiles from Glazzio Tiles and a Silestone quartz vanity top. This is just one of several kitchen and bath as well as quartz projects featured in this issue of Contemporary Stone & Tile Design. Design by Alena Capra, CKD, CBD, of Alena Capra Designs, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Story begins on page 40.

Getting the right flooring product into the right place can be very challenging particularly if you don't fully understand all of the circumstances, conditions and parameters of what you want to use, where and how to use it. Nothing in a commercial space gets as much abuse as the flooring material. With the right product it may never show how much traffic and use it really gets. The wrong product will make you want to pull your hair out when it fails miserably after a short period of time.
